ATHLETES COMPETING ON MONDO TRACK CONTINUE TO RACK UP RECORDS...

AND SIR MO BOWS OUT ON TOP

60m Hurdles - Ewa Swoboda: World U20 Indoor Record (8:00)

Birmingham – UK | Mondo Permanent Banked Track

On the this track two European records were broken: 1000m (W) and 5000m (M).
The protagonists were Maria Mutola and Mo Farah; particularly for Mo this was his last effort of its huge indoor sports career. Here are his words after the race:

“I can’t quite believe it is my last race but.. it is something that must come to an end. It is weird thinking about it... in particular on this track where I have broken so many records.” 

1000m – Laura Miur: European Record with 2:31.93
5000m – Mo Farah: European Record with 13:09.16
800m - Lynsey Sharp: Scottish National Record with 2:00.30
800m - Sanne Verstegen: Dutch National Record with 2:38.72
3000m - Hellen Obiri: Kenyan National Record with 8:29.41
3000m – Sifan Hassam: Dutch National Record with 8:30.76
1500m  - Ryan Gregson: Australia National Record with 3:36.50
1500m  - Ben Blankenship: WL mark with 3:36.42
60m – Elanie Thompson: WL mark with 6.98
60m Hurdles – Andy Pozzi: WL mark with 7.43
800m – Maria Mutola: PB with 2:00.42
400m – Laviai Nilesen: PB with 51.90
Long Jump – Jazmin Sawyer: PB with 6,71

In 2018 this track will host the IAAF World Indoor Championship
